Crystal has been practicing yoga since 2006, after attending a Bikram class with her mother and aunt. Like most yogis, she came to yoga to gain the physical benefits, but continued for the emotional and mental benefits. Yoga allowed her to breath, stay happy and focused, both on and off the mat. She began to branch out to other forms of yoga in college and her interest in yoga asana and philosophy grew. Expect to find her classes powerful and full of intention. You'll sweat and find peace of mind.

Certifications & Accomplishments: 200 hr YTT with Wild Earth Yoga Therapy, Isla Mujeres, Prana Power Yoga Hands-on Assistant Training, Cambridge, MA
Favorite pose and why: Tadpole Pose (a yin variation of Balasana). It's grounding, but also provides a great hip opening which is where I hold a lot of tension and history in my body.
In my class soundtrack you’ll hear: I keep it mostly instrumental during the grounding and restorative aspects of practice like explosions in the sky, the xx or Caspian, but it'll be super rare that there's not a couple of 80's new wave bands thrown into the mix like the Cure or New Order.
Favorite way to de-stress: Outside of yoga or lifting, cuddling with my pitbull and a glass of Prosecco.
Favorite essential oil & use: Any energizing oil. Peppermint, lemongrass or rosemary. I'm a wannabe Pitta in a Kapha body so any oil that invokes energy is my favorite.
What has Ganesh done for you/hope will do for students? Besides Ganesh being a beautiful drishi, Ganesh clears away any stuck energy in the room and in our bodies, removing any barriers between yogis and their practice.
When I’m not on the mat or teaching: I'm a Park Ranger on the Freedom Trail in Charlestown during the day and I'm probably out enjoying live music at night. I'm also traveling as often and for as long as possible, especially in the winter.
